University of Stirling – Cottrell Car Park
GSL designed and supplied Car Park lighting for the University of Stirling using three fittings from the Hess range. The brief was that it had to be dark sky compliant and low energy. This was easily achieved with the Sera and Residenza fittings from the Hess range of products.
The Sera was used for the main Car Park, the 
Residenza for the walkway and the inground uplights Ravenna was used to highlight trees and a textured wall.
GSL provided a full design and simulation of the areas, helping the client to see the impact the new design would have on the car park. The lighting levels were achieved and the effect on the environment minimised by using fittings that are dark sky friendly and energy efficient.

University of Stirling – Cottrell Building Lecture Theatres
GSL designed and supplied Lecture Theatre lighting for the University of Stirling using two energy efficient fittings. One is from the Rovasi LED range and the other from our partner INGE who manufacture our range of energy efficient luminaires.
The University is keen to manage it’s carbon footprint by reducing it’s energy bills and maintaing a high standard of clear and effective lighting for the students and lecturers, which all helps to make the working environment a more satisfying place to be.
The main fittings for the lecture theatres use multi-watt ballasts so the University has a standard fitting that can use different lamp wattage depending on the use.
The fittings used at the Lecture area are LED Dimmable downlights which use minimal energy but provide the light where it is needed allowing the lecturer to control the lights using the Lighting Management System handheld controller.
