Final reflection post – How this will help me next year with my course and in the future

Final reflections, the passion I have for this project will extend into the future. Taking the focus of ADHD and autism forward and to keep in mind as something to guide decision making to make my products more accessible. I’m coming away with a better understanding of my strengths and passions as well as my biggest pitfalls, seeing that I will need more guidance on how to manage my dyslexia with being a designer and the challenges that presents in our society. As well as learning what expectations I need to meet, thinking I need to define those clearly at the start in bullet points with more frequent check-ins guided by the bullet points to keep things on track but not being afraid to let the project expand and evolve in unexpected ways as that is a strength of how my mind works.

The product itself I would consider a success due to the positive feedback I’ve had at each meeting and step I’ve taken as well as it meets my own goals for the project to be functional jewellery. It has the potential to be more and help people, but I was mindful to work within my budget and means. Getting this product to shelf on time, figuring out all the main issues with  room for development if this product takes off.

I hope I don’t lose sight of what matters to me as well as where I need to improve as a designer. Forever taking onboard critical points and evolving as a designer.
